Lexi's First Fight

Alexandra Lee (Lexi) is 19 years old and weighs 105 lbs. Lexi is the reason I'm too scared to fight in my weight class. Well, Lexi and Kru Dylan's daughter, Kennedy. The list is actually growing.

On November 9, 2024 at Supremacy 3, Lexi had her first ever fight and she lost the fight halfway through the second round to Sabrina Campbell from Legacy MT. Lexi listened to her coaches and followed all of their pre fight advices. All with the exception of one. Coach Hamed told Lexi to keep a reserve of chives in her teeth so her breath could help her get out of clinches. Lexi didn't take assistance from chives but she kept breathing per Kru Harold's advice and remembered the combos Kru Arash practiced with her during warmup. Lexi stood strong against Sabrina who was taller and seemed to have been training for much longer and gave the fight her best. She lost simply because Sabrina was better. After the fight Lexi told Kru Harold that Sabrina's speed took her by surprise. Lexi took the loss like a champion.

I on the other hand didn't take Lexi losing her first fight very well. Not that anyone's wondering but it hit me very hard actually! After the first blow Sabrina landed on Lexi's head, I wanted to step into the ring and yell at Sabrina: IS THIS HOW YOUR MOTHER RAISED YOU??! After Lexi took the third and the forth punch I really had to stop myself from stepping in and throwing a few punches to Lexi's defense but then I remembered I was actually in their weight class and that could make the fight too complicated to judge. So I didn't. I stayed put till Andy gave me a hug to console me.

We are all very proud of how Lexi handled her first fight and her first loss. It would have been very easy for her to say she wasn't ready to do the fight as it was matched only a few days before the event but she decided to take it. I recall what Sushy (16 years old) said once after losing a fight. He said "don't let the fear of losing stop you from getting in the ring". How are these kids so inspiring at this young age?!

Kru Harold asked Lexi if she will fight again and Lexi said "yes". Kru Arash then told Lexi "you'll win your next fight!".
